One of the most charismatic tenor on his generation, Matteo Falcier graduated in singing with highest honours at Conservatory G. Verdi in Milano, then he attended the “Accademia della Scala” for leading singers and the improvers vocal course at Accademia “Rodolfo Celletti” in Martina Franca (TA).
He is currently studying with the international soprano Francesca Patanè. He debuted in 2010 in Cimarosa’s “Il Matrimonio Segreto” sung Paolino, before at the Stresa Festival and after at Teatro Regio di Torino.
He has already performed in some among the major theatres, working with such conductors as R. Muti, J. Conlon, R. Abbado, D. Rustioni, C. Goldstein, G. Bisanti, R. Boer , F.M. Carminati and P. Rizzo and such directors as C. Mazzavillani in Muti, L. Muscato, D. Michieletto, T. Gilliam, G. Strehler, J.P. Ponnelle and F. Ozpetek.
In 2016 he debuted the roles of Rodolfo in Puccini’s “La Bohème” at Circuito Lombardo, Rinuccio in the Puccini’s “Gianni Schicchi” at Teatro dell’Opera di Roma, Fenton in the Verdi’s “Falstaff” at Luglio Musicale Trapanese and Don Basilio in Mozart’s “Le Nozze di Figaro” in the japanese tournée with the Wiener Staatsoper conducted by M. Riccardo Muti.
In 2017 he successfully played the roles of Tebaldo in Bellini’s “I Capuleti e i Montecchi” at Teatro Filarmonico di Verona and Alfredo Germont at the prestigious Teatro di San Carlo di Napoli in Verdi’s “La Traviata” directed by Ferzan Ozpetek; then he took part in the opera in concert Puccini’s “Manon Lescaut” at the New Zealand Opera, featuring the international Soprano Serena Farnocchia leading the title role, and after he performed Alfredo Germont with major success in the Japanese tourneè of “La Traviata” for Teatro dell’Opera di Bologna.
Last he debuted the iconic tenor role of Duca di Mantova in Verdi’s “Rigoletto” at Circuito Lombardo.
In 2018 he performed the role of Beppe in Leoncavallo’s “Pagliacci” at Teatro dell’Opera di Roma, singing with tenor Fabio Sartori, soprano Carmela Remigio, conducting M. Carlo Rizzi;
In season 2018/2019 he sung again in his debut role of Paolino in “Il Matrimonio Segreto” at Opéra Royal de Wallonie and then he debuted the role of Don Ottavio in Mozart’s “Don Giovanni” at Opéra de Nice and Théâtre d’Antibes, Ernesto in Donizetti’s “Don Pasquale” at Teatro Filarmonico in Verona, Spiridione in Donizetti’s Il Campanello at Teatro Lirico in Cagliari, Don Basilio in Mozart’s Le Nozze di Figaro at the Teatro Amintore Galli (Rimini) and Teatro Comunale Alighieri in Ravenna and Arnoldo in Rossini’s Guglielmo Tell at the Teatro Sociale in Como and Teatro Grande in Brescia
