Biography
Luna Vigni was born in 1998. She graduated with honors from the R. Franci
Institute of Musical Higher Education in Siena at the age of 17, under the
guidance of Maestro Luciano Tristaino.
From a very young age she has played in various orchestral music ensembles,
as a soloist and in chamber music in the "Duo Marilù" with pianist Marianna
Tongiorgi.
She has won numerous awards in national and international competitions as a soloist: Virtuoso Prize (Mozarteum / Salzburg), Rising Star 2019 (Sir James
Flute Festival / Weggis), Falaut Vitruoso Competition 2020 and many others.
In 2018 she won the audition for the Jugend Mahler Orchester with whom he
played for two years and later won the audition for the Accademia del Teatro
alla Scala in Milan.
In June 2018, he completed his first Master of Arts in Music Performance with
honorable mention under M° Andrea Oliva at the Conservatorio della
Svizzera Italiana and undertook "Master of Arts in Specialized Performance
(Soloist)" under M° Felix Renngli.
In September 2020, she won the temporary audition for Solo Flute at the
Gürzenich Orchestra in Cologne and was invited to collaborate as first flute
with Teatro la Fenice in Venice, Colibrì Ensemble, RCO Camerata/ RCO
Chamber orchestra, Noord Nederland Orkest, Radio Philarmonisch Orkest
etc.
In June 2021, she won the audition for the Academy position with the Royal
Concertgebouw Orkest.
In 2023 she won first prize at the Moyse International Flute Competition in Sofia.
