The famous ballet choreographer, teacher and dancer Leo Mujić graduated from the Ballet School in Belgrade and later studied at the École-Atelier Rudra Béjart in Lausanne. As a fascinating creator, Leo Mujić has been invited to stage his works for a number of ballet companies in the most renowned theaters and schools in Europe, including the Berlin State Ballet, the Slovenian National Theater in Ljubljana, the Academy of Music and Dance in Zurich, the Dutch National Ballet in Amsterdam (solo for Tamas Nagy), Paris National Ballet (solo for Aurélie Dupont) and others.
The ballet Change Me to the music of J. S. Bach was created for the Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival in Massachusetts. For the theater in Augsburg he staged the ballet Traumgekrönt inspired by the poetry of Rainer Maria Rilke to music by Bach and Paul Hindemith and the full-length ballet-opera work Orpheus-Saitenschlag to music by G. F. Telemann, Dietrich Buxtehude and Leopold Hirt. For the Tokyo Theater No, he created an independent ballet project with the stars of the New National Theater, and at the Tokyo City Ballet he choreographed to the music of Antonio Vivaldi.
In the Hungarian National Theater in Pécs, Leo Mujić staged the ballet Change Bach to the music of Bach, for the National Ballet in Györ the ballet Glass House to the music of Robert Schumann and Philip Glass, in the National Theater in Belgrade - a ballet based on the opera La Forza del Destino by Giuseppe Verdi, in Novi Sad - the ballet Carmina Burana" by Karl Orff.
In Rijeka, he realized his author's project Pour homme et femme to the music of J. S. Bach, Scheherazade to the music of Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov and A Midsummer Night's Dream to the music of various composers. In collaboration with Valentin Turka, at the Summer Nights Festival in Dubrovnik, he realized the author's project Dangerous Liaisons, based on the novel by de Laclos and music by baroque composers in co-production with the theater in Maribor and the festival in Ljubljana. Leo Mujić and Turka also collaborated on the staging of Prokofiev's Romeo and Juliet at the Latvian National Ballet in Riga. In the same theater he staged Scheherazade by Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov, and in Ljubljana he staged the ballet The Great Gatsby, based on the popular novel by Francis Scott Fitzgerald and set to music by American composers. In Berlin, he participated with his choreography in the fashion show Vivid - A celebration of life, produced by Friedrichstadt Palast, and also created the show Falling in love in collaboration with the famous fashion designer Jean-Paul Gaultier.
Leo Mujić created the ballet Carmen for Teatro Massimo in Palermo, and is choreographer and director of the musical "Beauty and the Beast", presented at the Lisinski Hall in Zagreb.
Leo Mujić made his first guest appearance at the Zagreb Ballet in 2008 with the short author's ballet work Idi vidi to music by J.S. Bach.
Three years later, in 2011, he staged the ballet The Silence of My Forest, inspired by the text of Dobriša Cesarić and the music of Anita Andreis.
He then choreographed and directed the ballet Anna Karenina, based on Tolstoy's novel to music selected by P. I. Tchaikovsky. Anna Karenina evokes the enormous enthusiasm of both the audience and the critics. The play has been performed on all major Croatian stages, as well as in a number of theaters abroad. For this choreography Leo Mujić received several professional awards, one of them - the Croatian Theater Award for the best choreography.
In 2017, he staged the ballet The Glembaevi Family, based on the novel by Miroslav Krleža and music by Beethoven and Rachmaninov, for which he was again awarded the Croatian Theater Award.
In 2020, he choreographed and directed the neo-romantic ballet Pride and Prejudice based on Jane Austen's novel of the same name, to music by various authors, for which he also received the Croatian Theater Award for Best Performance and Choreography.
In 2023, he created Shakespeare's Hamlet to Tchaikovsky's music again for the Croatian National Ballet.
