Biography
Ilia Iliev was born in Gorna Oryahovitsa, where he completed his secondary education. He graduated from the Prof. Pancho Vladigerov National Academy of Music in 2010.
He made his debut in 2008 with the role of Leporello from Mozart's "Don Giovanni", and his debut on the stage of the National Opera and Ballet – Sofia he made in 2010 with the role of Villotto from Haydn's "La Vera Constanza". His repertoire includes various parts from operas by Mozart, Verdi, Puccini, Haydn, Pergolesi, Donizetti, as well as various cantata and oratorio works by Schubert, Haydn, Dvořák and others.
He was guest-performer on the stages of the Varna State Opera, Stara Zagora State Opera, Konstantin Kisimov Musical and Drama Theatre, Veliko Tarnovo, as well as the Pleven Philharmonic.
He has successfully performed concert tours with various productions in Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Serbia, France, Spain, the Netherlands, Russia, Bahrain, Japan. He has recordings in the Bulgarian National Radio and Radio Varna.
He took part in a master class of Giuseppe Sabbatini.
