Biography
Antoaneta Kostova graduated from NATFIZ “Krastyo Sarafov” where she studied scenography and costume design under prof. Konstantin Dzhidrov, in 2000. Three years later, she received a master’s degree in “Cinema and television directorship” under the tutelage of prof. Vladislav Ikonomov.
Antoaneta has been working as a freelance artist since 2000. She has designed the scenography and costumes of thirty movies, ten theatrical plays, thirteen television production and three television series broadcast on our three national medias. She has also designed lots of commercials and music videos and has been the lead artist of the Gabrovo carnival for the last ten years.
Her other passion is children. She has worked on several children’s television shows on BNT and BTV for a total of fifteen years. For many years, she has helped children through art and puppet theatre therapy. During this school year, she began teaching scenography at SPG “Knyaginya Evdokia”.
She has worked together with director Dimitar Sharkov on four New Year’s programs on BNT, on “Ide nashenskata muzika” and the theatrical production “A Slave of Two Masters”. Antoaneta debuted on the opera stage by designing the costumes and scenography for “The Green Bird”.
