Today begins the broadcast of “Siegfried”: Richard Wagner’s third opera of the “Der Ring des Nibelungen” tetralogy.
Viewers can see the performance split into three parts: on the 21st, 22nd and 23rd of October, from 23.25, on BNT2.
The score of “Siegfried” is exceptionally hard to perform. All of Wagner’s dramatic heroes are in incredible symbiose with each other and they all carry the story simultaneously. Plamen Kartaloff has achieved a perfect balance in his production: watching it unfold is like watching an enchanting dance while the scenes follow their rhythm and enamor the viewers. The scenography and costumes paired with the marvelous multimedia and lighting create a feeling of an exceptional and unique spiritual experience.
Starring in the “Siegfried” recording for television: Christian Cher, Plamen Dimitrov, Kostadin Andreev, Krasimir Dinev, Petar Buchkov, Radostina Nikolaeva, Vesela Yaneva, Ayla Dobreva, with Konstantin Trinks conducting the Sofia Opera orchestra.
Plamen Kartaloff also directed the televised recording of “Siegfried”. The scenography inspired by his vision is handled by Hans Kudlich; costumes: by Hristiyana Zorbalieva; lighting: by Andrew Haidinyak and multimedia scenography: by Ivan Lipchev.
