Meet Matilda!
The “Matilda” musical will be performed for the first time in Bulgaria. The premiere is on the 27th of March, with following performances on the 28th, 29th and on the 30th of March as well as on the 4th, 5th and 6th of April.
Script and score by Tim Minchin; libretto by Dennis Kelly and the story: by the famous children’s literature author Roald Dahl. His “Matilda” was published in 1988 and became one of the most popular children’s books in the world. The “Matilda” musical has won 47 international awards and continues to thrill viewers of all ages from all over the world.
Rehearsals at the Sofia Opera have already begun. After a special casting, the young performers Marta Vateva and Nikol Veselinova will take on the role of Matilda Wormwood.
