The children were thrilled to have come to the Sofia Opera. They took photos of themselves in the beautifully decorated foyers and saw up close the orchestra pit, the ballet stage and “The Nutcracker” decors.
After this, the students aged between eleven and seventeen, went to ballet floor where prima ballerina and ballet artistic director Marta Petkova expected them. She had especially arrived to meet them.
The students were interested to find out curious facts shared by Marta about ballet dancers’ daily lives, about the Great ballet rehearsal hall and the makeup room.
After the pleasant meeting, the children together with their music teacher Ms. Teodora Balabanova, headed towards the hall to see the first of eleven performances of “The Nutcracker”.
