This Sunday afternoon, our audience watched the second performance of the opera “Madama Butterfly” by Giacomo Puccini.

Plamen Kartaloff’s charming production gathered a wonderful ensemble: Kristine Opolais as Cho-Cho-San, Liparit Avetisyan as Benjamin Pinkerton, Kiril Manolov as Sharpless, Vesela Yaneva as Suzuki as well as the Sofia Opera lead singers, choir and corps de ballet. Conductor was again Boyan Videnov.

Lots of applause, an exalted audience and “Bravo!” shouts for all our artists!
