The National troupe will present fragments from the ballets "The Sleeping Beauty" by Tchaikovsky, "Don Quixote" by Minkus, "Giselle" and "Le corsaire" by Adolphe Adam and "Carmen Suite" by Bizet-Shchedrin in a large gala concert in the open air on the Saedinenie Square.
Among the performers are stars Marta Petkova, Katerina Petrova, Nikola Hadjitanev, Tsetso Ivanov, Frederico Pinto.
The festival was opened on 14 June by the world opera star Angela Gheorghiu under the baton of David Jimenez Carreras. The festival programme also includes a concert by the Prague Cello Quartet.
