At the beginning of the new year, one of the most successful Broadway musicals will be presented to a Bulgarian audience – the musical masterpiece "The Sound of Music" with a premiere at the Sofia Opera. The date is 9 January.

"The Sound of Music" is a popular musical. We talk about spirituality, which is very valuable. Spirituality is missing in Bulgaria. People need to turn to God. In the conditions of war, we should support each other, not disunite," actress Vesela Delcheva said in the studio of "Bulgaria in the morning".

"This musical is a drama. It's hugely significant, not just for the time in which it was developed, but also now because it's a story based on an actual case. These are real people who went through very difficult ordeals. When World War II happened, they had to survive as a family, and the family is the temple of God, and that's where the rub is. When you are united and you are together with your family, you are really the strongest," said the director of "The Sound of Music".
