At the age of 90 (1931 – 2022) passed Maestro Borislav Ivanov. As conductor he had a rich and varied repertoire, which ranged over the world and Bulgarian musical legacy.

With his impressing international activity, he was constantly working for popularization of the Bulgarian music culture and of the Bulgarian operatic voices around the world.

As Director during 30 years of the opera theatres in Varna, Plovdiv and Sofia, he cultivated high aesthetic criteria in their casts.

Enormous is his contribution for assertion of the music culture in our country.
