We’re happy to announce that the conversations with the audience, one hour before our performance, will continue during this opera season.
“The Sofia Opera up close” reveals curious facts about the life and art of the composers whose works are a part of the Sofia Opera repertoire, tells more about the history of these opera and ballets’ creation and reveals how a piece goes from being rehearsed for the first time to becoming a complete production. In these conversations take part directors, conductors, artists and assistant directors among which Vera Petrova, Marta Petkova, Nina Naidenova, Francesco Rosa, Vera Beleva, Lorka Masine, Zhorzh Dimitrov, Tsvetana Bandalovska, Diana Lamar, Masha Ilieva, Leo Muich. The guests will have the opportunity to see how preparations for production go, what specifics there are of every separate position in the opera and how the orchestra, choir and ballet work.
Since “The Sofia Opera up close” event began in January, 2023, more than twelve thousand viewers have taken part in these conversations which are turning into a special and memorable meeting between the audience and various creative teams working on productions at the Sofia Opera and Ballet.
