The National Opera and Ballet of the Republic of North Macedonia presented "Nabucco" by Giuseppe Verdi at the Sofia Opera and Ballet on Friday evening. The performance began with a minute's silence in memory of the fallen Bulgarian military pilots.
The production of "Nabucco" is by an Italian team. It was directed by Renato Bonajuto, set design by Flavio Arbetti, costumes by Artemio Cabassi. In the main roles were Marian Jovanoski – Nabuco, Zlata Toshevska – Abigaille, Nikolina Janevska – Fenena, Zoran Sotirov – Ismaele, Igor Durlovski – Zaccaria. The conductor was Bisera Chadlovska.
The President of the Republic of North Macedonia, Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova, also came to Bulgaria especially for the spectacle.
