On the 15th of March, “Carmen”: one of George Bizet’s most performed operas, enchanted the audience in the overfilled Sofia Opera hall

Plamen Kartaloff’s wonderful production was created in 2018 and the Sofia Opera conquered the audience in Japan with it.

The two main roles were performed by the young up and coming stars Rose Nagar-Tramble (Carmen) and Emanuel Asler (Don Jose). Silvia Teneva performed the role of Michaela and Deyan Vachkov took on the role of Escamillo.

Also starring: Svetozar Rangelov, Mihail Motaylenko, Krasimir Dinev, Anton Andreev, Alexandrina Stoyanova-Andreeva and Maria Pavlova.

Conductor: Zhorzh Dimitrov.

With the participation of the Sofia Opera orchestra, choir and corps de ballet; choir conductor: Violeta Dimitrova.
