On 13 and 14 January, the premiere of the musical poem "The Hermit of Rila", adapted for children, with music by Father Kiril Popov and text by Tihomir Pavlov, will take place at the Sofia Opera.

This is part of the opera's mission to prepare its audience from an early age. The premiere of the work dedicated to the all-Bulgarian saint, Reverend John of Rila the Miracleworker, took place on 10 May 2023 on the operas main stage and all performances were a huge success.

The opera's current season opened with "The Hermit of Rila" at the late antique fortress of Tsari Mali Grad. Once again, hundreds of spectators flocked to this magical place to experience the magnificent performance of our artists. The performances on January 13 and 14 begin at 11:00 h.
