Music by Mozart, Mendelssohn and Wagner sounds in the premiere fantasy opera for children “The Magic Forest”
On 6 March is the premiere of the fantasy opera for children “The Magic Forest” by Yulia Krasteva, who is also stage director of the spectacle, reported from the Sofia Opera.
In the forest, the Little Mushroom is sad – she wants to come to know the world, to play, to find friends, but she is motionless. And here it is that the Wizard will help her to move, but he will give her a valuable advice too: “In the forest there are good, as well as bad things, and she should get to know them, but also to be careful.” And indeed, there she will meet the Witch, she will meet the Vixen, but she will keep in mind the instructions of the Wizard and the good Fairies – to learn to discern what is good and what is evil.
And when she reaches as far as the sea, she will be enchanted by its beauty. But at the end, she understands that there is nothing better than her native forest and she goes back there, where the good Fairy endows her with a most-precious present – to have by her side always a most loyal friend.
