The costumes for the premiere of the opera “Falstaff” by Giuseppe Verdi are crafted by Anna Biagiotti: a famous Italian costume designer from Milano and an eminent figure in the area of theatrical art and costume design.
Anna began her professional path at the famous La Scala where she developed her artistic methods emphasizing aesthetics and attention to detail. For more than two decades, she was in charge of the costume studios there as well as of the history archives at the Rome Opera; she also oversees and creates costumes for the theater’s big productions.
Anna Biagiotti works together with Franco Zeffirelli, Mario Martone and Luca Micheletti. She knows Marco Gandini due to the long-lasting cooperation between the two of them. Biagiotti and Gandini produced the opera “Falstaff” for opera theaters in Budapest and Vicenza.
The premiere of “Falstaff” at the Sofia Opera will take place on the 27th of February and the following performances: on the 28th of February and on the 1st and 2nd of March.
