The Daegu Opera House is set to present Strauss’ “Elektra” as part of tis 20th International Opera festival.
The opera will star Liliya Kehayova and Diana Lamar in the title role alongside Tsvetana Bandaolovska, Radostina Nikolaeva, Gergana Rusekova, Mariana Zvetkova, Daniel Ostretsov, Atanas Mladenov, and Veselin Mihaylov, among others.
Plamen Kartaloff directs and Eva-Alexis Christ conducts.
The production opens Oct. 20 with another performance on Oct. 21. It is presented in collaboration with the National Opera and Ballet Sofia of Bulgaria.
The company opened the festival with “Rigoletto” and will also present productions of “Otello,” and the Saya Opera Awards.
