Fairy-tale stories and interesting meetings promises to its little admirers the Sofia Opera and Ballet in June, with the specially prepared for them programme, in the frames of the already traditional festival “Opera in the Park” of the G.S. Rakovski Defence Academy.
The beginning will be on 19 June, Friday, at 10 h, with the spectacle “Die Zauberflöte” by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. The fairy-tale, bringing joy, light and optimism and telling about the collision between good and evil, about friendship and love, will present the artists: Dimitar Stanchev, Kalin Dushkov, Diana Vasileva, Silvia Teneva, Elena Stoyanova, Silvana Pravcheva, Rumyana Petrova, Aleksandar Georgiev, Iva Bizeva, Krasimir Dinev
On 20 and 28 June, at 11 h, the kids will have the possibility to learn more about the story of “The Three Piggies”, which will be told them by the artists: Vihra Smilkova, Rada Toteva, Kalin Dushkov, Ilia Iliev, Elena Stoyanova, Aleksandra Nosikova, Georgi Dzhanov, Georgi Georgiev. Together with the conductor Stefan Nedyalkov, they will present a fairy-tale in which the piggies are artists, who are singing, dancing and playing in the first part, and in the second one begin their troubles after the meeting with the wolf, who at the end receives his lesson for pursuing Puff, Paff and Piff.
The adventures of another fairy-tale character – Winnie-the-Pooh, the little admirers of the Sofia Opera will have the chance to see in the spectacle of the same name on 21 June at 11 h, when the conductor Stefan Nedyalkov and the artists: Georgi Dzhanov, Silvana Pravcheva, Elena Stoyanova, Nikola Popov, Rada Toteva, Anna Gavrailova, Sofia-Nikol Taleva, will tell the children in an appropriate way the story of the little bear and the adventures which it has with its friends: Rabbit, Piglet, Kenga, Roo, Owl, Eeyore and the fairy flowers.
The spectacle “The Merry Kids” will open the curtain for the fairy-tale plots, enacted with the music by Mozart, Humperdinck, Schubert, Mendelssohn, Weber, Rossini, Tchaikovsky, Dobri Hristov on 26 and 27 June at 10 and at 11 h. Conductor of the spectacle is Stefan Nedyalkov. Participants: Aleksandra Nosikova, Anna Vutova-Stoycheva, Georgi Dzhanov, Iva Bizeva, Kalin Dushkov, Lora Ilieva, Mariana Zvetkova, Nikola Popov, Rada Toteva.
The tickets for all performances from the programme for June are in sale at the Ticket office and the website of the Sofia Opera and Ballet, as well as at the ticket offices of EasyPay in the whole country.
The project is realized under the patronage of the Mayor of Sofia Mrs. Yordanka Fandakova, in the frames of the programme “Opera in the Park” and is part of the Calendar of cultural events of Sofia Municipality for 2020.
