With the opera "Yana’s Nine Brothers" by Lyubomir Pipkov Saturday evening was opened the festival "Portal of the Two Worlds", which is held in the Tsari Mali Grad Fortress, not far from the village of Belchin, Samokov Municipality. 

"The characters from the opera could be recognized and seen in our time." This declared the stage director of the spectacle and Director of the Sofia Opera and Ballet Acad. Plamen Kartaloff specially before "Eurocom" and added:

"Often in the inconveniences and in the non-standard, unusual views are born also the great results. So that when we talk about contemporary reading of the work of art, it is a mirror namely of these metaphoric events, about which now we have to think over: Do we need to be such like the characters in the plot? So that the inconvenience comes from the recognition."

To the question how far is the society ready to accept one more non-standard plot, Kartaloff answered:

"I can say one thing: that I am sorry that today there are no such intellectuals and minds, as in the epoch of people’s art. Then they have argued, discussed, went for each other’s throats, and now there isn’t even with whom to start an argument. This is the sad thing. Because all deniers and apologists of the title had some vision of theirs, but today with home to have a talk? In order to have not only an argument, but also productivity from such a discussion. This is the interesting."

The Director of the Tsari Mali Grad Museum Complex Dr. Veselin Hadzhiangelov shared that the fortress accommodates an opera for the first time and that he personally hopes this to be not for the last time.

"The complementation is quite natural, because the opera as art is completely in synchronicity with the classical architecture of the fortress facilities. We consider that this festival must stand in the years and impose itself as annual", declared Hadzhiangelov.

Besides the opera "Yana’s Nine Brothers" on Saturday, on Sunday was performed the opera "Carmen". On 3 and 4 September respectively will be presented the ballets "Zorba the Greek" and "Carmina Burana". On 5, 6 and 7 will be performed the musical "Mamma Mia!".

Veselin Hadzhiangelov invited all spectators of television "Eurocom" to the festival.
