The popular Irish actor and producer Pierce Brosnan sent several letters of thanks and a bunch of red roses to Sofia Opera and Ballet. The occasion for this unusual gesture of the well-known with his role of James Bond performer was his visit last Sunday at the performance of the ballet Swan Lake at our leading opera theatre.

With his appearance at the Opera Brosnan surprised the overcrowded hall, and also the artists of the ballet, who he greeted personally on the stage. The actor gave many autographs and took pictures as a keepsake with the performers. His behaviour of a gentleman on the screen and in life was confirmed by the written with his own hand on a hotel form letters of thanks. They are addressed to the theatre’s director Plamen Kartaloff, to the prima ballerina Masha Ilieva and to other representatives of the theatre’s management, with whom the actor got personally acquainted during his visit there.

A wonderful bunch of huge red roses accompanied the letters, received from the star of the world cinema. He is in our country for the shooting of his next movie.
