The baritone Vladimir Stoyanov, one of the most wanted Bulgarian performers in the world in the recent years, will take part in the cycle of three titles “Tutto Verdi”, which Sofia Opera and Ballet will present in March 2014.
On 16 March at 19.00 h the audience in Sofia will have the chance to hear Vladimir Stoyanov as Giorgio Germont in Plamen Kartaloff’s production of „La Traviata”.
On 27 March at 19.00 h Stoyanov will participate as Nabucco in the concert performance of “Nabucco” by Verdi.
The cycle “Tutto Verdi” will end with a Gala Concert of Vladimir Stoyanov on 30 March at 19.00 h.
During the New Year Gala Concert on 31 December 2013 Stoyanov performed arias of Giorgio Germont and Nabucco, which were accepted enthusiastically by the audience. It is expected the newest cycle of Sofia Opera and Ballet with his participation to evoke great interest among music lovers.
Vladimir Stoyanov was born in Pernik. Having graduated the State Music School “Lyubomir Pipkov” in Sofia, in 1995 he graduated the National Music Academy “Prof. Pancho Vladigerov”.
He made his debut in 1993 at Burgas Opera, and in 1994 he specialized at the Bulgarian Academy of Art and Culture “Boris Christoff” in Rome by Nicola Ghiuzelev. In the same year he specialized also at the Academy of La Scala di Milano by the famous Magda Olivero.
Later he was soloist at Plovdiv Opera, and since 1999 he has been free lancer. Stoyanov stands among the most eminent Bulgarian singers. He has won the recognition and love of the international and Bulgarian audience and the critique. He has active performance activity and is frequent desired guest at theatres as “San Carlo”, Naples, La Scala di Milano, leading opera theatres in Austria, Germany, Spain, Italy.
He performs the central baritone parts in the operas “Don Carlos”, “La forza del destino”, “Ernani”, “Un ballo in maschera”, “I vespri siciliani”, “Madama Butterfly”, “La Bohème”, “Carmen”, “Prince Igor”, “L’elisir d’amore” and others. His last exceptionally successful guest performance in a spectacle on Sofia stage was last autumn in the production of “Don Carlos” by Verdi.
