What are the parking fees?
Sofia Opera and Ballet is situated in the city centre. The price for parking at Green and Blue zones is 1 and 2 BGN respectively.

How do online tickets work?
After paying for your order online via ePay, bank transaction, credit or debit card, you will receive an email with your ticket and its barcode. At the entrance you can present it for scanning either in printed form or from the display of your smart device.
How can I book tickets, is it necessary?
You can book by email at reservations@operasofia.bg or using the following telephone numbers: 02 800 62 66; 0879 407 643 during the working hours of the Info Centre:
Monday – Friday: 09:00 – 18:00 h
Saturday and Sunday: 10:00 – 14:30 h
It is necessary to book in advance for all Concerts for Babies!
It is recommended to book for all concerts in Grand Hall.
Reservation of tickets is available for 3 days only. In this period, you can make your purchase from the Ticket Office during working hours:
Monday – Friday: 09:00 – 14:00 h и 14:30 – 19:00 h
Saturday: 11:00 – 14:00 h и 14:30 – 19:00 h
Sunday: 11:00 – 14:00 h и 14:30 – 16:00 h
How can I access the performances at the Sofia Opera and Ballet?
Every guest of the opera house, regardless of age, is to present a ticket for the current performance.
After passing ticket check, you can proceed to your seat.
Concerts for Babies are performed in a special hall. Its entrance is situated at 1 Vrabcha Str.
Performances for Children are performed in the Chamber Hall. Its entrance is situated at 30 Dondukov Blvd.
What does it mean to be on time at the opera?
It is recommended to be at the opera at least 15 minutes before the starting hour listed in the programme and printed on the ticket.
Entering the hall is not allowed after the beginning of the performance. Late visitors would be seated on the third balcony where they can watch the performance until the first interval when they can go to the seat printed on their ticket.
How long does an opera performance last?

Is there any age restriction?
Children under 5 years old are not allowed to enter the opera hall during opera and ballet performances for adults. For its little guests the Opera arranges special Concerts for Babies (from 0 to 3 years old) and Performances for Children (from 3 to 5 years old).
Is there a dress code?
Formal attire is recommended.
Is there a cloakroom?
Guests are to leave their coats, jackets, hats, umbrellas, etc. at the cloakroom for the time of the performance. This service is free of charge.
What are the security measures?
The Opera provides 24-hour video surveillance and safety officers. If you notice any suspicious behaviour or unattended baggage, please do not hesitate to inform immediately the nearest member of the opera staff.
Can I use my cell phone in the opera?
It is prohibited to use your mobile devices during the performances! Any light and noise produced by your devices disturbs the regular conduct of the performance, its audience and the actors and singers on stage.
Moreover, it is not allowed to make any photos, audio or video recordings that are not officially authorized by the institution. Sofia Opera and Ballet strictly follows copyright laws!
The use of all mobile devices is allowed during the interval.
Are there any restrictions on food, drinks and tobacco consumption in the Opera?
Smoking is strictly prohibited in the Opera. Food and drinks are sold in the foyers during the interval but are not to be taken inside the hall.
