“Le corsaire” was created in 1856, based on Lord Byron’s poem of the same name, which has already many times served as basis for operas and ballets. Since the time of the first production in Paris, the ballet “Le corsairе” was expanded with music by other composers, the choreography was altered and modified, but the absorbing plot about the adventures and the love of the noble pirate remains the same up to now. The music of the ballet “Le corsaire” attracts with its liveliness and ease, real French exquisiteness and high taste.
This project was implemented with the financial support of the Ministry of Culture.
