In the hall were present 100 pupils from the Elementary School “Hadzhi Gencho” – Teteven
More than 200 agitated children “conquered” the stage of the Sofia Opera after the end of Lyubomir Denev’s spectacle “Lilly and the magic pearl” after Valeri Petrov’s fairy-tale “Puk” with director Anri Kulev. Almost half of the participants in the unexpected landing were pupils of the Elementary School “Hadzhi Gencho” in Teteven and their class teachers. The school has century-old history and is the only elementary school on the territory of the Municipality. It was constructed in 1906 with the donation of the Teteven’s citizen Hadzhi Gencho Gulev, and in it are studying the most little pupils of Teteven.
For all of them this was the first touch to the world of the opera and the spectacles for children of our first theatre. The agitation of all was great and they competed with each other to make pictures and to handshake with their new friends – the performers in the hit premiere title of the Sofia Opera. Common favourite turned out to be Lilly – the little performer of the main role in the spectacle Zora Gospodinova. Her sea friend Hrilly (Anton Radev), The Wrinkled (Krasimir Dinev), Medusa (Rada Toteva), Mussel (Blagovesta Mekki-Tsvetkova), Octopus (Ilia Iliev), Turbot (Kalin Dushkov), and the Ensemble Crabs (Tsvetan Tsvetkov, Georgi Dzhanov, Ovanes Kasparyan, Stoyan Balabanov, Stefan Dimitrov and Stoil Georgiev) also attracted interest to themselves.
And the guests from Teteven, and the pupils from Sofia schools followed closely what said the conductor of the spectacle Zhorzh Dimitrov. The artistic secretary of the Sofia Opera Yulia Kurteva invited all of them to the upcoming new premiere for children, dedicated to the 95th Anniversary of the composer Alexandar Raichev – “The Three Piggies” on 12 May and to the upcoming spectacles for the youngest audience at the Summer Festival “Opera in the Park” this summer.
The newest friends of the Sofia Opera promised the next time to bring to opera or ballet their parents. And to be sure that this will happen, they carried away as a souvenir their tickets for the spectacle, which charged everybody with many positive emotions and with excellent mood.
