The director Plamen Kartaloff, who for the first time produced in Bulgaria the tetralogy “Der Ring des Nibelungen” (“Das Rheingold”, “Die Walküre”, “Siegfried”, “Götterdämmerung”) and “Tristan und Isolde” – the productions, which brought to the Sofia Opera new world recognition, again only with Bulgarian voices and again together with the first artists of our first opera theatre – performers of the main roles

Kostadin Andreev and Martin Iliev – Parsifal,

Radostina Nikolaeva and Gergana Rusekova – Kundry,

Angel Hristov and Nikolay Petrov – Gurnemanz,

Atanas Mladenov – Amfortas,

Biser Georgiev and Veselin Mihaylov – Klingsor,

Petar Buchkov – Titurel

with the artists from the CHORUS the Sofia Opera and the répétiteurs Milen Stanev and Yolanta Smolyanova

give you the privilege to be present directly at a part of the rehearsal process of Wagner’s last opera – PARSIFAL, which the Sofia Opera presents for the first time in Bulgaria on 4 July.

The present ones will acquaint themselves closely with some of the close-ups of the director’s scores in the interpretation of the work – one mystical and mysterious philosophical work.

Bulgaria has the necessity of a new age of striving and longing for native art. The Sofia Opera and its artists make our national culture visible, recognized and proudly commensurable with the achievements of countries with century-old achievements and traditions.

The production on stage of PARSIFAL has the given to us possibility for revelation and a way to enlightenment of the spirit. A way, which drinks in a devotional-ritual communication with the symbolic meaning of the Holy Grail in this mythological drama of the music genius Wagner.

With PARSIFAL we are offering you to immerse yourselves in one more evening of mysterious striving.
