On 23.03.2017 and 28.03.2017 were held the first events, foreseen in the project “Wagner for students – “Parsifal”.
The project is being realized at the occasion of the first for Bulgaria premiere of the opera “Parsifal” by Richard Wagner on 4, 6, 8 and 10 July 2017.
The forum will continue until 28 April.
The beginning was set with the lectures by Dimitar Bardarski – “Parsifal” – modern, too modern – on 23 March in the Cinema hall of the National Academy for Theatre and Film Arts “Krastyo Sarafov” and by Chief Assistant Dr. Ilia Gramatikov “Parsifal”: The drama as mystery, the music as creation of myths, the art as religion in the Chamber hall of the National Academy of Music “Prof. Pancho Vladigerov”.
The project has the goal to go into the subject through different aspects – music, philosophy, cinema, painting, engaging the attention of young people with one story about the triumph of innocence and compassion over evil and death. “Parsifal” is the last opera, written by Richard Wagner, which is considered also for the best one, created by him.
Given in an intriguing and natural way, the lecture under the title “Parsifal” – modern, too modern” passed as an open meeting, in which Dimitar Bardarsky acquainted the present ones with the life and the creative path of the great German composer Richard Wagner.
The accent was set on the role of the composer for the development of art, as well as his work as inspiration and provocation for a series of other creators in the field of philosophy, literature and cinema, as well as for the young generation today.
A special attention was paid to the place of “Parsifal” in the cinema. The solemn stage mystery in three acts, as well as the life path of the composer turned into inspiration of famous film directors like Hans-Jürgen Syberberg and Tony Palmer.
The lecture by Chief Assistant Dr. Ilia Gramatikov “Parsifal”: The drama as mystery, the music as creation of myths, the art as religion” acquainted the auditorium with these three main thematic fields, referring to the music drama.
In the separate parts of the lecture, the present ones had the possibility to learn more about the creative ideas and the innovative approach of the composer of genius, as well as about the specific composition parts of the work. Characteristic for the opera in three acts are the leading of leitmotivs /short musical themes/, as well as of main oppositions.
A focus was placed on the entire conception for the art as religion in a moment of secularisation. For the entire witnessing and rationalisation of the thematic span contributed the audio-visual presentation of separate parts of the opera.
The next lectures are planned to be held in the period 6.04.-28.04.2017. At them the young people, the tempted ones, as well as of those, who will touch these problems for the first time, will have the chance to get acquainted closely with the creative genius of Richard Wagner.
Please welcome to immerse yourselves in one exciting world of music and mystic! Free entry.
We are expecting you!
