The soprano, who raised on its feet and was wildly applauded by the Japanese audience in the roles of Tosca from Puccini’s opera of the same name (2012), in the role of Yaroslavna from “Prince Igor” by Borodin and Liù in “Turandot” by Puccini (2015). Enormous was her success also in Slovenia in “Tristan und Isolde” and in Germany (2015) in Wagner’s tetralogy “Der Ring des Nibelungen”.
Radostina Nikolaeva was born in Ruse (1974), graduated from the Music School “Veselin Stoaynov” in her home town (1994) and opera singing from the National Academy of Music “Prof. Pancho Vladigerov” (2001). She improved herself in the master class of Anna Tomowa-Sintow (2006). She debuted on the stage of the Ruse Opera with the role of Dona Elvira in Mozart’s “Don Giovanni” (1998), she won a competition for soloist of the Sofia Opera and Ballet (2003), with which started her brilliant career as first soprano in our most prestigious opera theatre. Her rich repertoire includes the central soprano parts in the masterpieces of the opera classic: Liù in “Turandot” and Amelia in “Un ballo in maschera” by Verdi, Anna Bolena from Donizetti’s opera of the same name, Michaela in “Carmen” by Bizet, Desdemona in “Otello”, Violeta in “La traviata” and Aida in Verdi’s opera of the same name, Mimi in “La bohème” by Puccini, Nedda in “Pagliacci” by Leoncavallo, Zemfira in “Aleko” by Rachmaninoff, Antonia in “Les comptes d’Hoffmann” by Offenbach, Élisabeth de Valois from “Don Carlo” by Verdi, Leonora from “Il trovatore”, Odabella from “Attila” by Verdi, Manon Lescaut and Тоска from Puccini‘s operas of the same name, Santuzza from “Cavalleria rusticana” by Mascagni, Dona Anna from Mozart’s “Don Giovanni”, Maria from “King Kaloyan” by Vladigerov, Kosara from Maestro Atanasov’s opera of the same name, Dido from “Dido and Aeneas” by Purcell, Yaroslavna from “Prince Igor” by Borodin and many others.
She has made guest-performances in opera spectacles and festivals in Germany, Switzerland, Holland, Japan, Russia, Macedonia, Bosna and Herzegovina, North and South Korea, Poland, Romania, Italy and other countries, as well as on the stages of all Bulgarian opera theatres.
The prima has in her biography many distinctions, among which awards from the National competition “Prof. Hristo Brambarov” (2001), the International competition for young opera singers “Boris Christoff” (2004), the International competition “Ottavio Ziino” (2005). She won both highest awards – First prize and Prize of the audience of the International competition “Premio Spiros Argiris 9 Concorso Internazionale per Giovanni Cantanti Lirici” (2008). Radostina Nikolaeva is winner of the “Crystal Lyre” for her role of Amelia in the opera “Un ballo in maschera” by Verdi.
