On 12 December, for the first time on the stage of Sofia Opera and Ballet, Roberto Scandiuzzi will appear in the role of Filippo II.
The bass was born in Treviso, Italy, where he studied opera singing. In 1992 he made his debut at La Scala di Milano, in “Le nozze di Figaro”, under the baton of Riccardo Muti.
With his interpretation of Fiesco in “Simon Boccanegra” at Covent Garden, conducted by Georg Solti, the singer acquired world celebrity.
Today, Roberto Scandiuzzi is called by the music critique all over the world the deepest bass voice.
