Eunji Chung

Eunji Chung is a Korean soprano, who graduated from the Seoul National University Department of Vocal Music and is currently enrolled there as a master’s student. She showed her talent early on, playing the role of the shepherd in Tosca, staged by the Korea Opera Group in 2006.

In 2019, she appeared as Sister Osmina in Il Trittico, staged by the Seoul National University, in 2021 she played the role of a boy Bangje Choi in a creative opera Heaven above the road by Younghee Park.

In 2022, as a part of Yeoro Concert Series 20, titled Creative Cantata in commemoration of the 120th anniversary of Yu Gwansun's birth, she played the role of Yu Gwansun. She received recognition for her outstanding skills as a performer by being awarded in various competitions.

In 2022, she placed 2nd in the Joongang Music Competition, 1st in the Labella Music Competition, 2nd in the Gwacheon JW Songphar International Vocal Competition, and she also got awarded in the Suri Music Concours.

She received praise in a Masterclass with Sumi Jo in December 2022, and since 2023 she’s been active as an associate singer of the Daegu Opera House Opern Studio Program.
