Biography
Before his graduation in 1989 at the State Choreography School in Sofia (today National School of Dance Art), he was member of the well-known Bulgarian company for modern ballet “Arabesk”. After his graduation as student of Rumen Rashev he entered the ballet company of the Sofia Opera and Ballet.
In his repertoire are the central parts in “Swan Lake”, “La dame aux camélias”, “The Goat Horn”, “ Fahrenheit 451”, “Zorba the Greek”, “Giselle”, “Romeo and Juliet”, “The Nutcracker”, “Cinderella”, “Don Quixote”, “La Sylphide”, “Ghetto”. He was awarded the Third Prize at the Anastas Petrov National Competition (1993), finalist at the Osaka Competition (1995), nominated for Crystal Lyre (2000) – award of the Union of Bulgarian Musicians and Dancers and awarded the Crystal Lyre (2001).
He teaches at the National School of Dance Art. In 2012, he was granted the Anastas Petrov Award for pedagogical activity.
