Biography
Marta Mironska
Costume designer
She graduated from the National Academy of Arts in 1975, majoring in scenography and costume.
From 1975 to 1982 she was a production designer at the Vidin Theatre. She collaborated with other theatres in the country and abroad – Sofia, Athens, Graz, Belgrade, where she realized thirty-six theatrical productions.
From 1982 to 1992 she was at the National Film Centre, Boyana. After that she was a freelancer.
She is a member of the Union of Bulgarian Artists and the Union of Bulgarian Filmmakers.
Awards:
Theatre:
1977 – Theatre Award for set and costume design
1978 – Award for set and costume design for "Velchova Zavera" directed by P. Pavlov in Novi Sad.
1980 – Award and diploma for set and costume design for "The Vain Efforts of Love", directed by L. Groys from Quadrinal in the Czech Republic
1982 – Award for set and costume design at the chamber drama review.
Film:
1982 – Costume Design Award for L. Morchev’s "The Golden Age".
2003 – Award for Costume Designer of the Union of Bulgarian Filmmakers
2007 –Award for Costume Designer of the Union of Bulgarian Filmmakers
2011 – Film Academy Award
2022 – Award of the Ministry of Culture "The Golden Seal of Simeon".
Marta Mironska created the costumes for the films "The Golden Age", "The Day of the Rulers", "Yesterday", "Without a Scratch", "Steppe People", "The Lot", "А Battue for Wolves", "The October Sparrows", "A Calorie of Tenderness", "One More Thing About Love", "The World is Big and Salvation Lurks Everywhere", as well as for the five Oscar nominated films: "Tsahes", "A Small War " Voivode".
Costume designer for the foreign films "Underground", "The Wall", "The Birthmother's Babble", "The Last Master of the Balkans", "The Mechanic", "The Good War".
