Biography
Liubov Metodieva is a Bulgarian opera singer, born in Sofia and graduated from the National Academy of Music "Prof. Pancho Vladigerov".
She continued her studies at “Boris Christoff” Academy of Arts and Culture in Rome, Italy under the guidance of Mirella Parutto and took part in masterclasses of Raina Kabaivanska and Stefka Evstatieva. In addition, Liubov was taught by Kammersangerin Julia Viner-Chenisheva.
Liubov Metodieva was involved in a number of productions of the Sofia Opera and Ballet, including "The Ring of the Nibelung" premiere performance directed by Plamen Kartalov, Bulgaria's tribute to the world celebration of Richard Wagner's 200th anniversary. Liubov took part in the well applauded performance of that same large-scale production in Füssen, Germany, as well as in the later performances of "The Ring" on the stages in Bulgaria.
In 2023 Metodieva participates in "The Barber of Seville", a co-production of Sofia Opera and Ballet and the State Opera – Plovdiv, directed by Nina Naydenova
Liubov Metodieva performed roles in productions of operas by Mozart, Rossini, Verdi, Wagner, Bizet, Puccini, etc. She has been working with renowned directors like Plamen Kartalov, Vera Nemirova and Vera Petrova, as well as with prominent conductors like Erich Wächter, Constantin Trinks, Borislav Ivanov, Francesco Rosa, Evan-Alexis Christ, etc.
