Biography
Today, more than ever, we are obliged to delve into the subject of mass manipulation of consciousness. We are obliged to explain the nature of suggestion, to be aware of the influence of the information press, crushing critical thinking. We owe it to ourselves to learn to spot the glass ceiling the role of which is to give us a false freedom in order to thwart our natural impulse to fight for the real one. We are obliged to distinguish between the palatable lies and the not always beautiful but always wholesome truth. Refusing this fight strikes every aspect of our humanity – it makes us mentally, morally and socially ill. Psychotherapist and longtime hypnosis researcher Ivo Velichkov will reveal the mechanisms of mind control and give us guidance on how to build defences against it.
Ivo Velichkov is a psychotherapist with more than 20 years of experience in the field. He is the author of "The Secrets of Hypnosis", published many times in Bulgaria and abroad. He is the President of the Bulgarian Hypnosis Association. He graduated in Philosophy at Sofia University, Psychology at NBU and Clinical Hypnosis at the London College of Clinical Hypnosis. His long-standing interests in martial arts and self-improvement systems have taken him to various schools – from Far Eastern esoteric societies, through Western universities, to Russian special forces units.
