Biography
Even Borsum graduated from Dramatiska Institut Stockholm in 1995 where he trained as a set- and costume designer. He has done more than 100 theatre productions, mostly in Norway, but also in Denmark, Sweden, UK and Croatia. He mainly works with theatre and dance preformances, but has also has worked with TV and film.
Among the productions Even has done is A Midsummer Night´s Dream at Riksteatret, West Side Story (The opening show of the new Trøndelag Teater), Hamlet at Nationaltheatret, Romeo and Juliet at Den Nationale Scene in Bergen, Les Miserables at Oslo Nye Teater, Jesus Christ Superstar at Det Norske Teatret, Mutter Courage at Den Nationale Scene, Chicago at Trondelag Teater, Next to Normal at Det Norske Teatret, Skylight at Nationaltheatret, Peer Gynt at Gålå outdoor theatre, The History of the Bees at The National Theatre in Zagreb, Croatia and Johan Turi at the Sami National Theatre. Even has done the set design and costumes for The Dance of Death by August Strindberg at the Nationaltheatret and it was also played at The Coronet Theatre in London.
Even has done the set design for several ballet preformances at The Norwegian Opera and Ballet, such as A Midnight Sun´s Dream, We Are Better Now, Brudeferden i Hardanger and the signature-shows Ghosts, Hedda Gabler and The Wild Duck. These performances have been toured widely to places such as Berlin, Wien, Paris and the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow.
