Biography
Jungwoo Kim is a Korean soprano, who graduated from the Sunhwa Arts Middle School and High School.
She was admitted into Ehwa Womans University Voice Department, where she got both her bachelor’s and master’s degree. She appeared on stage multiple times: in 2022, she performed the role of the Countess in the Ehwa Womans University staging of The Marriage of Figaro, and in 2019 she appeared in the Ehwa Womans University Voice Department Concert, as well as in the Sacred Music Concert. In Jeongdong Theater she performed the role of Rosina in a concert Yang Joon Mo’s Opera Date – Il Barbiere di Siviglia, she also played in La Boheme, Magical Flute, and such. Apart from opera main roles, she is also actively participating in various ensembles, including Paju City Choir, Siheung City Choir and Ehwa Chamber Choir. Currently, she is a part of Daegu Opera House Opern Studio Program.
