Due to the huge interest in the musical "The Sound of Music" by Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II, the Sofia Opera announces 4 more performances in April.

The dates and times of the performances are as follows:

On 7 April – at 14 h and 19 h
On 13 April – at 11 h
On 14 April – at 10 h

"The Sound of Music" has been an incredible success after the first four performances, and tickets for the last two performances in January were almost sold out.

The production of the musical is the work of a Broadway team with direction by West Hyler, set design by Jeremy Barnett, lighting by Zach Blaine, costumes by Whitney Locher and choreography by Riolina Topalova.

Vesela Delcheva will be Maria, who will make Captain von Trapp's children sing, and the little naughty girls are from Dimitar Kostantsaliev's Children’s Vocal and Theatrical Formation "Talasamche". We will see Alexander Georgiev as Captain von Trapp himself.

Alexandrina Stoyanova-Andreeva, Silvana Pravcheva, Mariana Zvetkova, Diana Dimitrova, Rada Toteva, Tsveta Sarambelieva, Nikolay Pavlov, Nikolay Voynov, Anton Radev, Plamen Grandzhan are in the other main roles.
