The Sofia Opera toured in Stara Zagora at the 54^th edition of the opera and ballet arts Festival with a performance of the first part of the “Der Ring des Nibelungen” tetralogy by Richard Wagner: “Das Rheingold”.

Evan Alexis-Christ conducted the performance and Plamen Kartaloff’s impressive directorship was brought to life by singers Veselin Mihaylov, Mariana Tsvetkova, Plamen Dimitrov, Daniel Ostretsov, Krasimir Dinev, Petar Buchkov, Stefan Vladimirov, Svetozar Rangelov, Silvana Pravcheva, Hrisimir Damyanov, Vesela Yaneva, Stanislava Momekova, Ina Petrova and Alexandrina Stoyanova-Andreeva.

With the participation of the National opera – Stara Zagora Children and Youth opera and ballet studio and students from the National school of stage and music arts "Hristina Morfova" from the “percussions” and “Bulgarian folklore dance” classes under the tutelage of Mirena Mitreva and Atanas Georgiev – Stara Zagora.
