Welcome to the first ballet premiere for 2023 on the stage of the Sofia Opera.
You will have the possibility to enjoy the brilliant production of "Anna Karenina" based on the novel by Leo Tolstoy and with music by P.I. Tchaikovsky.
The dramatic plot is recreated by the choreography of the internationally acclaimed artist Leo Mujić, who in his first encounter with the Sofia Opera Ballet made a new edition of the work especially for the national troupe.
In the lead roles are the prima ballerinas Marta Petkova and Katerina Petrova, the premier soloists Nikola Hadjitanev, Tsetso Ivanov and Emil Yordanov. In the spectacle will sound the violin of Stoimen Peev from Sofia Quartet, the voices of Alexandrina Stoyanova and Violeta Radomirska.
Conductor is Andrei Galanov.
The premiere spectacles are on 27, 28 and 29 January and 2, 3 and 4 February.
