"The situation is very difficult. The ballet dancers, conductors and musicians are in very difficult conditions."
This was emphasized in an interview for the program "Horizont do obed" by the Ukrainian prima ballerina Ilona Kravchenko, who on Thursday will appear on the stage of the Sofia Opera and Ballet in the role of Odette from "Swan Lake":
"Some of the actresses managed to leave Ukraine to play, to present their art in other countries and in front of other ballet theatres, but the men are not allowed to leave Ukraine due to the announced mobilization and it is even harder for them. For the third day I have the pleasure and honour to rehearse here and tomorrow for me is upcomimg the performance "Swan Lake" and for me it is a great pleasure to be able to present my art to the Bulgarian spectators."
The Ukrainian prima ballerina shared what she experiencing in the moment:
"It's very difficult for me. I'm constantly thinking about what's going on in my homeland. I try to connect with my parents, but sometimes I don't have access to them. This puts an extra strain on me."
