On March 24 at 19:00 h, on the stage of the Sofia Opera and Ballet the spectators will have the chance to see in the role of Odette-Odile from “Swan Lake” the Ukrainian prima ballerina Ilona Kravchenko. In the context of the current political situation, when it is more than clear that art should not know political interests and conflicts, the ballet star will be a guest on the Bulgarian stage. This happened at a time when the Opera and Ballet Theater in Lvov, where Kravchenko is a prima ballerina, was closed indefinitely due to the difficult situation in the country.
“Swan Lake” is the first ballet written by Pyotr Tchaikovsky and perhaps the most recognizable ballet work of all time. Tchaikovsky's beautiful music, the magical story of the enchanted Princess Odette and Prince Siegfried, the perfect choreography of the great choreographers Lev Ivanov and Marius Petipa turn the ballet into an invaluable work of art.
On 24 March at 19:00 h, the audience of the Sofia Opera and Ballet will see Ilona Kravchenko as Odette-Odile and Tsetso Ivanov as Prince Siegfried. Conductor – Boris Spasov.
