The packed hall admired the exceptional mastery of the Sofia Opera Ballet!
Francis Scott Fitzgerald himself described the 1920s as the "Age of Jazz" and in his novel "The Great Gatsby" created a thrilling story about the glamorous world and lavish life of the American upper class, but also about a mysterious rich man who falls victim to his own love and beliefs.
Internationally acclaimed choreographer Leo Mujić has staged "The Great Gatsby" on a Sofia stage, following the huge success of the production at the Slovenian National Opera Theatre in Ljubljana in 2019. He selected the music himself, which includes compositions by American composers George Gershwin, Samuel Barber, Benny Goodman, Leonard Bernstein, Philip Glass, Glenn Miller and George Whitefield Chadwick.
