The series of premiere performances of the “Romeo and Juliet” ballet by Sergei Prokofiev on the Sofia Opera stage ended last night with “Bravo!” shouts and huge applause.
Marta Petkova, Frederico Pinto, Vincenzo Caruana, Rumen Bonev, Simeon Atanasov, Emil Yordanov, Pamela Pandova-Banneva, Marina Marinova, the Sofia Opera corps de ballet and its lead dancers delivered an amazing performance under Kaloyan Boyadzhiev’s choreography, with Igor Bogdanov as conductor.
Today begins the Sofia Opera Ballet’s tour inn Poland with ten performances of “Zorba the Greek” by Mikis Theodorakis, under the choreography of Lorca Massine.
