Tenor Ștefan Pop won two of the most prestigious international singing contests in 2010 when he was 23 years old. He did this over the course of just one week and on the territory of two different continents: the “Operalia” contest in Milano and the Sixth international music contest in Seoul, South Korea. He debuted on the opera stage two years earlier: as Nemorino in “Love Elixir” by Donizetti in Timișoara, Romania.
His international debut happened at the opera in Rome, in the role of Alfred (“La Traviata”), under the directorship of Franco Zeffirelli. Since then, Ștefan Pop has been one of the leading tenors in the world and often performs on the biggest opera stages in the world.
