Ladies and gentlemen,
dear friends of Richard Wagner's music,

Once again, the Sofia Opera, with its general manager and director Prof. Plamen Kartaloff, is organizing its Richard Wagner Festival with overwhelming success and great demand and enthusiasm from the audience.

The Wagner Days this year will be held from July 8th to July 30th and the heart of the festival will be a new production of the “Ring des Nibelungen”.

As the Richard Wagner Association International, we are very happy about the great commitment of the Sofia Opera and its General Manager Plamen Kartaloff, who have forged a new “Ring” that will be presented along with three more individual works by Richard Wagner, “Tristan und Isolde”, “Parsifal” and “Der Fliegende Holländer.” Above all, we are enthusiastic about the great artistry of the singers, the productions and the musical quality of the opera house.

The Sofia Opera is one of the few opera houses in the world that promotes the works of Richard Wagner with great enthusiasm and devotion. I wish everyone involved with Prof. Plamen Kartaloff every success and goodbye. Toi!!!

It is a particularly great pleasure for me personally that the Wagner Festival found its friends and guests very well in our global Wagner community.
