An audience consisting of college attendees and students filled the hall of the local opera theater “Verdi” in Salerno to the brim as soon as at the dress rehearsal of the Sofia Opera and Ballet. A day later, the first of two performances of Wagner’s “Die Walküre” will take place, drawing the audience’s attention.
The students wildly applauded the artists and the production with which the summer season at the opera theater opened. The theater’s artistic director is the world-famous conductor Daniel Oren who has visited the Sofia Opera twice and will conduct here again at the end of the summer season (Beethoven’s ninth symphony), Plamen Kartaloff, Sofia Opera director and director of “Die Walküre” shared for “24 chasa”, the previous day.
