The baritone Dencho Belev left us. He will remain in the history of Bulgarian opera life as one of the great names. His work is associated with the stages in Varna, Stara Zagora and the Sofia Opera. The operas in which he is remembered by his contemporaries include impressive baritone parts in: “Nabucco”, “Aida”, “La Traviata”, “Rigoletto”, “Tosca”, “Der fliegende Holländer”, Tsar Kaloyan”, etc.

With the recordings preserved in the BNT's phono library we can always touch his performances. His impersonations on stage will be an example of high professionalism and dedication to the art of opera.
