Silvia Teneva is a veteran lead singer at the Sofia Opera and mostly performs as a lyrical soprano. She has thrilling performances in operas by Mozart, Donizetti, Puccini, Bizet, Wagner, P. Strauss as well as in works by Bulgarian composer Lyubomir Pipkov, Marin Goleminov and Blagovesta Konstantinova.
Silvia has developed her vocal skills under Raina Kabaivanska, Stefka Evstatieva and Anna Tomova-Sintova and is a laureate of Bulgarian and international singing contests.

On the 23rd of January, Silvia Teneva will take on the role of Mimi in the opera “La Boheme” by Giacomo Puccini. Her partners on stage will be Arthur Esposito as Rudolf, Jun Won Huang as Marcel, Alexandrina Mihaylova as Musetta, Mihail Motaylenko as Shonar and Nikolai Voinov as Colin.
Boyan Videnov will conduct the performance. Last year, he conducted Sonya Yoncheva’s first performance in an entire showing in Bulgaria, namely, “La Boheme” by Puccini.
The production is handled by theatrical director Boiko Bogdanov and was reconstructed by Vera Petrova. With the participation of the vocal-theatrical formation “Talasamche” with director Dimitar Kostantsaliev; Sofia Opera choir conductor: Violeta Dimitrova.
In the following two performances, singers from the opera studio of Opera Tegu, South Korea, will perform: Sung Yup Han as Rudolf, Jun Mo Park as Colin, Ma Fei as Mimi and Ye Sol Park as Musetta. The participation of these young “opera ambassadors” from the faraway country of South Korea solidifies the strong partnership between the Sofia Opera and the opera theater in Tegu.
