For another year Sofia Opera and Ballet takes part in the European Heritage Days 2024. The initiative is organized by Sofia Municipality in partnership with the French Institute in Bulgaria and is part of the Sofia Municipality's Calendar of Cultural Events and the "Sofia Celebrates 17th September" programme #Sofia Celebrates.

The Sofia Opera and Ballet organizes two special editions of the Backstage Tour "The Opera Up Close", during which visitors will get acquainted with the history of the Sofia Opera, will explore the auditorium and the boxes, will step on the stage of the first opera theatre in Bulgaria, will visit the ballet rehearsal halls and will meet the artists of the national ballet.
